This was emphasized by Viktor Bilko, Deputy Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE), at the online seminar on the implementation of energy management systems in state authorities.

"According to our data, energy monitoring currently covers about 27% of buildings of central executive authorities and 100% of buildings of regional administrations and enterprises. It is nice to see such activity in this direction. But there is still a lot of work ahead," Viktor Bilko commented.

The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) continues close cooperation with authorities to provide them with support in implementing energy management systems, which will allow to:

• analyze the consumption of fuel and energy resources;

• plan, implement energy-efficient measures and monitor their effectiveness;

• implement other measures aimed at increasing the energy efficiency of energy consumers.

Establishing energy management systems will help get rid of about 5-15% of energy costs without involving large-scale investments.

Note:

In September 2022 the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and with the participation of the Association of Energy Auditors of Ukraine is conducting a series of online seminars on energy management for authorities and other institutions.
