The Government of Ukraine has adopted the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine drafted by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) according to which the list of products that are subject to state market supervision is expanded.

The specified list is supplemented with equipment that must comply with technical regulations on energy labeling, adapted to EU legislation.

So, in accordance with the amendments, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection will carry out state market supervision of space heaters, combined heaters, sets of space heaters, temperature regulators and solar installations, local heaters, professional refrigerators for storage, ventilation units for residential premises, solid fuel boilers, sets of solid fuel boiler, additional heaters, temperature regulators and solar installations.

Ukraine is implementing European standards for energy labeling of equipment. This tool encourages the use of energy-efficient products.

Thanks to energy labeling, consumers:

• receive information about the technical characteristics of energy-consuming products;

• can choose more energy-efficient products that use less energy (gas or electricity) and have a longer service life.
