The State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine (SAEE) is already involved in the process of preparing for next winter, because it has many ideas and solutions in this direction. This was stated by the Head of SAEE Anna Zamazeeva during a working visit to one of the unique modular solid fuel boiler houses.

The peculiarity of these boiler rooms is mobility. Such boiler rooms can be freely moved and connected to any school or hospital to provide them with heat and hot water. Another advantage is heat not from gas, but from a local alternative fuel - sunflower husk pellets.

The SAEE Head emphasized the need to develop this direction, taking into account the obvious advantages:

·       First of all, this is a big saving of money. Taking into account market gas prices, one gigacalorie of thermal energy from natural gas is twice and sometimes three times more expensive than from alternative fuels.

·       Secondly, biofuels are considered CO₂-neutral because plants absorbed CO₂ during their growth.

·       Thirdly, it is about independence from natural gas supply.

"Such modular boiler houses should be in every regional center. Definitely in case of unforeseen situations, especially during military aggression and energy terror on the part of russia," Anna Zamazeeva is convinced.

"Therefore, we will work in this direction. The State Energy Efficiency Agency (SAEE) has several initiatives to support both the domestic production of modular solid fuel boilers and the generation of heat from alternative fuels. And the main thing is that it will help to make our communities more energy independent!", - concluded the Head of SAEE Anna Zamazeeva.
