The Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine (SAEE), Anna Zamazeeva, held a meeting with representatives of the European Energy Community.

The parties focused on one of the important tasks - the registers creation of Ukrainian guarantees of origin for biomethane and power from renewable sources.

The Head of the SAEE outlined to the European partners the work of the State Energy Efficiency of Ukraine in these directions. Particular attention was focused on the positions:

• both the register and guarantees of origin issue must clearly meet all the requirements of Ukrainian and international legislation;
• it is necessary to go through the necessary procedures for the recognition of Ukrainian guarantees of origin in the European Union.

"All of this is of key importance for the greening of the energy sector, export potential opening and the integration of Ukraine into the European Union," - said the Head of the SAEE, Anna Zamazeeva.

As a result of the meeting, the parties identified clear joint steps of action that will contribute to the introduction of the mechanism of guarantees of origin for both biomethane and power from renewable sources.
