Finnish innovations on waste-to-energy generation were a main theme of discussion between the SAEE Head Sergiy Savchuk and Vice President of WOIMA Corporation Eric Raynaud (Finland).

WOIMA specializes in the production and supply of modular wasteWOIMA® plants in developing countries. The plant can consist of 1-4 WOIMAlines.

The WOIMAlines has 15 MW of thermal energy and 2.7 MW of electricity. This plant can operate in a city of about 200,000 people.

Similar projects will be important in Ukrainian cities.

Thus, under the initiative of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, a concept and a number of draft laws have already been developed to create conditions for waste-to-energy projects in Ukraine.

According to the results of the meeting it is agreed:

- to study possibilities for implementing innovative Finnish waste-to-energy projects in different cities of Ukraine;

- to use Finnish experience in developing legislative changes in the sphere.
