This was announced by the rector of NTU “Dnipro Polytechnic” Oleksandr Aziukovskyi at the All-Ukrainian High-Level Forum on Energy Efficiency in Education and Science, initiated by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE).

Head of the SAEE Valerii Bezus, in his turn, confirmed the importance of education and science in energy efficiency for developing competitive economy in Ukraine.

Presenting the “Dnipro Polytechnic” experience in training specialists, Oleksandr Aziukovskyi emphasized: "Shaping of energy-efficient thinking is impossible without close cooperation with employers".

Therefore, the Dnipro University of Technology forms educational process, uniting students, scientists, high-tech manufacturers, international partners.

Thus, in the specialty "Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics" students study energy management and energy audit, energy efficiency of buildings, energy networks of buildings and structures, SmartGrid-systems, renewable energy sources, electric mobility.

The Dnipro University of Technology together with its partners have also created the number of laboratories, united into one center, which make focus on energy and energy efficiency.

«This approach, cooperation with employers, implementation of the educational program on "Electric Power, Electrical Engineering and Electromechanics" resulted that the share of about 50% of entrants from the general admission in Dnipropetrovsk region in 2019-2021 entered our university», - highlighted the rector.
