This was announced by the Rector of the Prydniprovsk State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture (PSACEA) Mykola Savytskyi at the All-Ukrainian High-Level Forum on Energy Efficiency in Education and Science, initiated by the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.

The academy started working on energy saving and energy efficiency in 1997.

Today on the basis of the Academy there are created:

• Prydniprovsk Regional Center for Energy Research and Energy-efficient Technologies in Construction and Housing;

• Ukrainian National Center for Environmental Architecture and Green Construction;

• Commission for professional attestation of persons intending to carry out energy-efficiency certification activities;

• Energy Innovation Hub with the support of the German Government through GIZ.

“PSACEA is one of three higher education institutions in Ukraine, where the Energy Innovation Hub has been established, thanks to the support of GIZ. The academy is fitted with modern equipment. The solar power plant with a capacity of 5 kW was also installed as a demonstration object. Within the hub we hold events, conduct researches and work closely with manufacturers", - Mykola Savytskyi said.

Also, according to the rector, the academy is one of the first institutions of higher education, where the specialty "Energy Audit and Energy Efficiency in Construction" has been opened.
