The Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine  Valerii Bezus reached an agreement with the representatives of the Secretariat of the Energy Community to continue providing support to Ukraine in the introduction of guarantees of origin of "green" energy.

"It is important for us to continue working on the way towards European integration, despite the difficult times of martial law. We will not allow the enemy to stop our progress, including energy efficiency and "green" energy development", emphasized Valerii Bezus during the online meeting with European partners.

"We are doing everything possible to accumulate all our resources and work on the tasks set before the Agency. In particular, we must provide necessary legal basis for the future implementation of guarantees of origin of all types of "green" energy”,  said Valerii Bezus.

Valerii Bezus also informed that the Agency together with UNDP is working on drafting primary legislation on the introduction of guarantees of renewable energy origin.

In turn, Energy Community representative Naida Taso expressed her sincere condolences to all Ukrainians during Russia's brutal, shameful war against Ukraine. She assured of her readiness to support Ukraine.

In particular, the Ukrainian side will be able to learn in detail the software specializing on guarantees of origin.

In addition, the Energy Community is ready to provide necessary advice on drafting primary legislation and conditions for Ukraine's accession to the regional hub for renewable energy guarantees of origin.

The roadmap for cooperation between the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and the EU Secretariat on Ukraine's accession to the above-mentioned regional hub for renewable energy guarantees of origin, which is currently being developed, will also be updated.
