By the end of March it is planned to develop a concept of the energy efficiency fund, which will be presented in a form of a presentation for business, government and donors at the International Donor Conference. It was reported by the Head of the Agency Serhiy Savchuk at the meeting with representatives of the Support Group for Ukraine of the European Commission and the EU Delegation in Ukraine, experts of the Coordination Center for Economic Reforms Implementation under the President of Ukraine, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Nuclear Policy and Nuclear Safety of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksandr Dombrovskyi.

"Presenting the fund's concept to donors we should give successful examples of such funds that work abroad and economic impact of their activities, including energy consumption reduction, employment multiplier, macroeconomic indicators and forecasts for the budget filling. In addition, the results of multiplier of existing programs should be demonstrated", said Serhiy Savchuk.

"It is important that the fund works transparently, and its mechanism shall be constructed so that the political situation couldn't affect its work. Establishing the fund has a strategic importance for Ukraine, and therefore it should be flexible to new programs", said the People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Dombrovskyi.

The idea of establishing the fund and the presentation of its concept at the international conference of donors were supported by Jurata Juodsnukyte, the EU representative in Ukraine, and representatives of the Support Group for Ukraine Torsten Vollert and Christoph Hierulski.

At the end of the meeting it was agreed to continue active work on preparation of documents for fund creation and its presentation at the International Donor Conference.
