Biography

Biography

Born on October 26, 1980, in Mykolaiv, Ukraine.

Hanna Zamazieieva holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Odesa National Academy. She graduated from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with Master’s degrees in Political Science and in Finance and Credit. She also earned a Master’s degree in Public Management and Administration from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

She has 19 years of professional experience in the financial sector, including more than 14 years in executive positions. She has also served as a lecturer at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University, teaching courses in Finance and Credit and Banking.

Since 2007, she has been a member of Rotary International, supporting initiatives in education and regional economic development.

Until December 2020, she served as Chair of the Board of the All-Ukrainian Association of Financial Companies (Mykolaiv branch).

In October 2020, she was elected Deputy of the Mykolaiv Regional Council representing the Servant of the People party. From December 9, 2020, to March 17, 2023, she served as Chair of the Mykolaiv Regional Council.

Professional Activity

Hanna Zamazieieva has been actively involved in financial sector reform and regulatory development in Ukraine.

She has served as a member of working groups at the National Bank of Ukraine and the National Commission for the Regulation of Financial Services Markets, contributing to the development of regulatory acts in cooperation with experts from the World Bank, USAID Financial Sector Transformation Project, FinReg Project, GIZ, and other international partners.

She has participated as an expert in working groups and conferences organized by the National Bank of Ukraine, the National Commission for the Regulation of Financial Services Markets, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Financial Policy and Banking, and the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.

She has also taken part in international microfinance conferences organized by the Microfinance Centre in Bilbao (Spain) and Istanbul (Turkey).

She contributed to drafting key financial legislation within the Committees of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, including the Laws of Ukraine:

    •    On Consumer Lending

    •    On Consolidation of the Financial Services Market

    •    On Currency and Currency Transactions

    •    On Prevention and Counteraction to Legalization (Laundering) of Proceeds of Crime and Financing of Terrorism

    •    On the Institution of the Financial Ombudsman


On June 8, 2021, she was elected Deputy Head of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of Ukraine.


She represents Ukraine as a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe for 2021–2026 (pursuant to Presidential Decree of Ukraine No. 54/2021 dated February 10, 2021).

She serves as Chair of the Supervisory Board of the All-Ukrainian Association of Financial Companies.

Public and Humanitarian Activity

Following the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Hanna Zamazieieva established the Humanitarian Headquarters of Mykolaiv Region, providing assistance to residents of communities in Mykolaiv and Kherson regions most affected by armed aggression.

She is an ambassador of the charitable foundation “Svitli Spravy” (“Good Deeds”).

She was one of the initiators of the Southern Branch of the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War, based in Mykolaiv. The branch supports families of prisoners of war from Mykolaiv, Odesa, and Kherson regions, providing legal, social, and psychological assistance, as well as rehabilitation support for servicemen returning from Russian captivity.

She is also a member of the Coordination Headquarters on the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Awards

Awarded the Order of Princess Olga, 3rd Class (December 8, 2021), for significant personal contribution to state-building, development of local self-government, long-standing dedicated service, and high professionalism.
