First Deputy Head of State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine
Biography
Mariya Viktorivna Mala has over 30 years of professional experience, nearly 28 of which have been in the field of public administration and energy efficiency.
She began her career in 1997 as a Chief Legal Specialist at the State Committee of Ukraine for Energy Saving. In the years that followed, she consistently held positions such as Legal Advisor, Head of Department, Director of a Department, and Deputy Head of the National Agency for Efficient Use of Energy Resources. Since 2011, she has been working at the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, where she headed the Legal Department, and since 2022, has served as the First Deputy Head of the Agency.
Mariya Mala holds three higher education degrees:
Master of Business Administration (MBA), International Institute of Management (MIM-Kyiv), 2015;
Master of Public Administration, Ukrainian Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine, 2001;
Specialist in Law, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, 1998.
For her significant contribution to the development of the civil service and the energy efficiency sector, she has been awarded the honorary title "Honored Lawyer of Ukraine", along with numerous letters of appreciation and honorary diplomas.
She has extensive experience in the legal support of state energy efficiency policy, strategic management, and regulatory and legal framework development.
