In Ukraine there is a growing condominiums demand for the state energy efficiency program. Over the last week, on July 11-18, 2016, nine other condominiums joined the program and involved a record amount of funds - 3 million UAH in carrying out energy efficiency measures. It was reported by the Chairman of the Agency Sergiy Savchuk, analyzing statistic data of the program.

"There is a growing demand for the state aid for multi-apartment buildings renovation. In June this year 25 condominiums have taken part in the program, attracting 4 million UAH. But for the last three weeks of July 23 condominiums have already received 4.5 million UAH to implement energy efficiency measures in their homes. People believe that "warm" loans are not a burden but a real state help", - said Sergiy Savchuk.

According to him, condominiums, participants of the program, benefit from this state support mechanism, share their experiences with others, and what's interesting – they participate in the state energy efficiency program again. That's what the condominium "Berehynia" (Lviv) made. Last week it appealed for the state aid again and attracted a considerable amount of funds, in particular 1,35 million UAH, to complete a complex thermal modernization of the six-storey building.

As the Chairman of condominium "Berehynia" Aleksandra Slobodian explained, the first experience of participation in this program was very positive. The condominium set heat and electricity meters, new windows, modernized lighting systems, investing 143 thousand UAH. 43.6% of this amount (taking into account those who get subsidies) was compensated by the Government, and another 30% - by local authorities. "It made up together 105,300 UAH. We were left to pay only 37 700 UAH", - she said and noted that due to the state support they managed to repay the loan within a year and appeal for the second loan on the full insulation of the house.

Aleksandra Slobodian added: "It is essential to explain to people and members of the condominium that as a result of insulation there will be a significant energy saving, and thus saving of the budget expenses for utilities". According to her, after the lighting modernization the expenses for electricity consumption in the building fell by 3-4 times.

Another condominium "Stryiska 91" (Lviv) also decided to take advantage of the state support for the second time. Last week it attracted 1.05 million UAH for retrofitting of the multi-apartment building.

Overall, since the start of the state energy efficiency program 287 condominiums have benefited from the non-repayable financial assistance, having attracted 28.2 million UAH for insulation.
