"Energy efficiency is a driver of economic recovery of communities and the entire state. This is about the release of millions of hryvnias for communities’ development. Therefore, I strive to introduce a real comprehensive approach to energy efficiency policy, which will bring results to communities and the state," said the Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency (SAEE) Anna Zamazeeva during her speech at the II European Energy Award Forum participants in Ukraine.

During the event, Anna Zamazeeva presented to mayors and heads of united territorial communities the strategy, goals and planned programs in energy efficiency.

"Let's take, for example, business. If enterprises do not implement energy-efficient measures at their production facilities, this will affect the cost of works, services, goods and their quality in the future. Social development will also depend on the state of the economy," she explained.

Anna Zamazeeva assured that the money saved thanks to energy efficiency is additional funds for reconstruction, pensions, social payments and improving the welfare of communities in the future. Here is a deep understanding of the meaning and advantages of energy efficiency.

Any decision in the state should be analyzed through the prism of economic expediency, as Europe does thanks to the principle "Energy Efficiency First".

"I plan to initiate a whole set of programs and financial instruments, thanks to which we will be able to achieve real energy and cost savings, as well as fulfill more than 80% of the tasks of the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan within the framework of European integration," said the Head of the SAEE.
