Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine (SAEE) Anna Zamazeeva discussed with the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine Ole Egberg Mikkelsen further mutually beneficial areas of cooperation between the two countries, especially regarding the recovery of Ukraine based on energy efficiency and decarbonization.

The Head of the SAEE presented to the Danish partners the initiatives developed jointly with the Ministry for Recovery of Ukraine team led by Oleksandr Kubrakov, which should help the population and enterprises to become energy efficient and prepare for winter, namely:

- established the State Fund for Decarbonisation and Energy Efficiency Transformation;

- introduction of a large-scale state leasing platform to attract the best world, including Danish, technologies in energy efficiency and alternative energy sources, which Ukrainian consumers and communities will be able to use;

- a number of developed energy efficiency programs to support the population, private households, local self-government bodies, ESCO companies and the budget sector, enterprises.

The ambassador, sincerely impressed and interested in such ambitious goals and the need for decisive changes, assured of his readiness to fully support. Denmark has everything for this – experience, especially in energy efficiency in heat supply, clean technologies, financial instruments (Investment Fund for Developing Countries (IFU) etc.

The Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine and the Ambassador of Denmark to Ukraine agreed to start a dialogue and cooperation with the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, the Danish Energy Agency and Danish companies in energy efficiency and alternative fuels in the near future.
