SAEE systematically implements European requirements for energy labeling and eco-design in Ukraine

The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) team is developing numerous technical regulations on energy labeling and eco-design of equipment, taking into account EU requirements.

In this work, one of key partners is the European Business Association.

Together with a wide range of association members SAEE Head Anna Zamazeeva discussed a range of urgent issues:

• possibilities for using in Ukraine the European Product Registry for Energy Labelling EPREL;
• compliance with the requirements for eco-design for heaters;
• ways to prevent the import of non-energy-efficient equipment;
• adaptation of European requirements for eco-design of household dishwashers, washing machines, electrical and electronic household and office equipment.

Also Anna Zamazeeva presented opportunities for EBA to participate in the upcoming National Decarbonization Platform. Among the tools there will be providing communities, households and businesses with access to modern energy-efficient equipment and solutions.
