The Government approved the technical regulation on energy labelling of electrical lamps and luminaires

On May 27 the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine "On the approval of the technical regulation on the energy labelling of electrical lamps and luminaires" was adopted.

The adoption of this technical regulation will allow consumers to have full and reliable information about the energy efficiency class of electric lamps and luminaires.

It is assumed that electric lamps of both domestic and foreign manufacture will be sold with the energy label that meets European standards.

Also, suppliers and distributors of lamps will have to include the information on the energy efficiency class of products to the advertising materials.

Note.

Ukraine is implementing a system of energy labelling of energy products in accordance with the updated EU legislation. It will help enhance trade exchange between Ukraine and the EU, strengthen the competitive positions of the Ukrainian enterprises, increase requirements and standards for product quality.
