We sincerely congratulate everyone on the Europe Day!

For the first time, Ukraine celebrates the Europe Day together with the countries of the European Union – on May 9. In addition, in the status of a candidate country for EU membership.

Ukrainians protect their country, the future and the values of the civilized world at great cost, confirming: we were, we are and we will be a part of the European family.

Freedom, democracy, protection of human rights, sustainable development - these and many other values unite us with the EU.

We are building even stronger ties than before with European partners on the energy front. After all, the entire civilized world has realized how destructive russia's energy terrorism is, how dangerous is dependence on fossil fuels, which the aggressor country has turned into a weapon.

So, our common with the EU directions of movement are energy security, energy efficiency, decarbonization. This is theissue of energy and economic independence of our state, social stability and sustainable development.

Therefore, the development of these spheres is maximally intensified and will be an important component of Ukraine's recovery.

That’s why the State Energy Efficiency Agency of Ukraine is constantly working on adapting national legislation to European legislation in energy efficiency and alternative fuels. We are actively working on the implementation of the Law of Ukraine "On Energy Efficiency", the National Energy Efficiency Action Plan for the period until 2030.

Based on the experience of the EU, energy audit, energy management, energy efficiency certification of buildings, eco-design and energy labeling, ESCO and other instruments are being implemented in Ukraine.

Taking into account the EU principles, we are working on development of bioenergy and renewable gases.

At the same time, we are implementing new initiatives that will help communities and businesses to become more energy efficient and energy independent. All our steps are aimed at recovery and further sustainable development of the country.
