Odesa region will become another powerful hub of "green" transformation!
The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) has launched the Odesa Regional Office for Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency, which will open up energy-efficient opportunities for communities.
During the opening, Anna Zamazieieva, Head of SAEE, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating:
"This is already the eighth such office in Ukraine, and its launch in Odesa is a significant step towards creating a powerful platform for collaboration between local authorities, businesses, and experts. Our goal is to help communities implement energy-efficient solutions, creating the conditions for accelerating the 'green' transformation in all areas of life and the economy. This is a step towards reducing energy costs, improving the quality of life, and ensuring the sustainable development of regions."
Joint efforts in this direction were formalized through the signing of a memorandum between Anna Zamazieieva, Head of SAEE, Oleg Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, and Hryhorii Didenko, Head of the Odesa Regional Council. The document outlines the intentions to work together on building a sustainable energy policy for the region.
"Why is energy efficiency important for communities? There are many reasons. It is an effective tool for saving budget funds and attracting investments. It allows for making schools, hospitals, and kindergartens more comfortable while reducing their maintenance costs. It is a growth point for the economy and an opportunity to create new jobs in the regions," explained Anna Zamazieieva.
The Office will become a key hub for collaboration between SAEE and local authorities in the Odesa region, helping communities in the following areas:
Smart energy use – implementing energy management, developing local energy plans, conducting energy audits, and building certification.
Energy independence – developing alternative energy sources and high-efficiency cogeneration.
Educational programs – raising awareness of energy-efficient solutions among communities and businesses.
Financial support – attracting support tools for implementing energy-efficient projects.
Thanks to these initiatives, Ukrainian communities will be able to implement modern solutions for energy conservation, saving budget funds, and ensuring the sustainable development of the region. This is not only a path to energy independence but also an important contribution to the reconstruction of Ukraine — making it stronger, more modern, and environmentally sustainable.
We thank Oleg Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, and Hryhorii Didenko, Head of the Odesa Regional Council, for their support of energy efficiency and decarbonization initiatives.
The future holds new opportunities and even more results!
