The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving and DARMU have joined forces — a memorandum of cooperation has been signed.
The Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving held a working meeting with Nataliia Kichuk, Acting Head of the newly established central executive authority — the State Agency for Reserve Management of Ukraine (DARMU), which implements state policy in the field of formation and management of state reserves.
The scope of DARMU’s management includes seven large state-owned enterprises, one organization, and a research institution, all of which play a strategically important role for the country’s economy and security. These are powerful, energy-intensive complexes with extensive infrastructure — including refrigeration facilities, warehouses, production lines, and logistics systems.
The implementation of energy efficiency measures and the use of renewable energy sources at such facilities will have a significant economic and systemic impact. This is especially important under martial law, when reducing the load on the energy system is a critical task.
The signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and DARMU provides for expert support in implementing energy management systems at enterprises, conducting energy audits, optimizing energy consumption, and developing renewable energy projects.
Particular attention was paid to establishing effective data exchange to enable more rational energy resource management.
We are grateful to the DARMU team for the constructive dialogue, openness to cooperation, and readiness to implement systemic solutions that strengthen the energy resilience of the public sector.
