The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine continues to develop partnerships with leading international manufacturers of equipment for energy generation and storage.
Anna Zamazeeva: “At a time when electricity shortages have become a systemic challenge for the country, direct partnerships with reliable international manufacturers of renewable energy generation and storage equipment are of particular importance. Such partnerships make it possible to accelerate the deployment of modern technologies, strengthen the energy resilience of communities, and build a new decentralized energy infrastructure for Ukraine.”
One such partner is Deye — a global manufacturer of inverters and energy storage systems, holding a leading position in the global hybrid inverter market.
As part of a working visit to Ukraine, Deye’s top management visited the office of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency. The parties discussed ongoing cooperation, prospects for expanding the company’s presence in the Ukrainian market, and potential areas for technological partnership.
The company’s products are already widely used in Ukraine, particularly in projects supported by the State Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Transformation Fund. One example is the program providing portable charging stations to children with severe disabilities (subgroup A).
Out of 10,000 purchased stations, 3,471 were manufactured by Deye, enabling thousands of families to ensure backup power for life-sustaining equipment even during power outages.
Special attention during the meeting was given to workforce development and training for the energy sector. This included discussions on launching a joint technical training and certification program for Ukrainian engineers, installers, and energy companies.
Such a program is intended to prepare a new generation of specialists in modern energy technologies — which is especially important amid workforce shortages caused by the war and the rapid development of the distributed generation sector.
Deye representatives also announced plans to open a service center and a sales office in Ukraine, which will significantly accelerate technical support and the development of the partner network.
In addition, the company is considering the possibility of establishing manufacturing or assembly facilities in Ukraine after the war, which could become an important contribution to the development of Ukraine’s energy industry and the localization of modern technologies.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to formalize their cooperation by signing a memorandum of partnership.
The meeting was attended by members of the company’s leadership:
Gu Jianping — Advisor to the Chairman of the Board,
Sun Tan — Assistant to the Chairman of the Board,
Wu Suwei — Vice President for Marketing,
Ye Guozhi — Vice President for EPC.
The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine expresses its gratitude to the Deye team for the open dialogue, their interest in developing the Ukrainian market, and their readiness to jointly implement modern energy solutions that strengthen Ukraine’s energy security.
