Energy-efficient housing for displaced people will be built in 8 cities of Ukraine

The partner of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine (SAEE) - the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) has announced a program on building energy-efficient houses for displaced persons in eight cities of western Ukraine.

The new program with funding from the European Union provides for the construction of housing taking into account modern energy-efficient and ecological technologies for internally displaced persons in Lviv, Chernivtsi, Dubno, Kovel, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Novovolynsk.

We are talking about buildings with fully equipped and furnished apartments, which will also meet the requirements for inclusivity. According to the terms of the project, the connection to the housing of all necessary communications and arrangement of shelters is provided by the community.

Tenders have already been announced or will be announced for the implementation of this initiative, which should end by the summer. The project will start by the end of 2023.
