 Another powerful example of effective partnership has been implemented in the city of Voznesensk, located in the Mykolaiv region. The Ukraine Decarbonization Fund provided concessional financing of UAH 18.5 million, which enabled the implementation of a large-scale street lighting modernization project.

In just seven months, project documentation was developed, outdated lighting elements were dismantled, and a new modern energy-efficient lighting system was installed.

As part of the project, 3,420 LED lights were installed, which now efficiently illuminate the city's roads, parks, squares, and other public spaces. The total project cost is UAH 37 million.

The new lighting was installed based on the city's needs:

1,369 luminaires with a power of 30 W;

1,200 — 40 W;

576 — 50 W;

275 — 100 W, all with modern adapters and controllable drivers.

As a result of the project, more than 50% electricity savings are expected, along with a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 4,078 tons of CO₂ and savings of over 7 GWh of electricity.

This is more than just infrastructure modernization — it’s an investment in a safer, more convenient, and environmentally friendly future for the community.

The project was implemented under an energy service (ESCO) contract. The lighting network is on the balance sheet of the Department of Housing and Communal Services and Capital Construction of the Voznesensk City Council. After the contract period ends, the community will be able to direct the saved funds toward new energy-efficient initiatives.

Despite all the challenges posed by military aggression, the city is confidently moving along the path of energy-efficient transformation. Each such project is another step toward the energy resilience of our country and comfortable living conditions for Ukrainians!
