Hanna Zamazieieva: "I always say: saving energy is simple. A simple habit today means real savings tomorrow."
We often think that energy efficiency is something complicated, expensive, or out of reach. In reality, it comes down to simple everyday actions: turning off the lights when leaving a room, installing thermostatic valves, sealing windows, or using energy-efficient appliances. Small changes — big savings.
Mykolaiv became the first city in Ukraine where the national awareness campaign "Keep This Money for Yourself" officially launched offline. Here, for the first time, the campaign’s ideas came to life — white and green posters and city lights with simple, practical energy-saving tips have appeared throughout the city.
The Danish Energy Agency (DEA) partnered with the city, providing Mykolaiv with the opportunity to become a leader in implementing modern energy-efficient solutions and serving as an example for other Ukrainian communities.
If you see one of these posters — don’t walk by. Leave your feedback, share your thoughts — every voice matters to us!
“We must be conscious, thrifty, and energy-efficient. I’m confident this campaign will inspire many Ukrainians to reflect and start incorporating simple energy efficiency principles into their daily lives,”
said Hanna Zamazieieva, Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine.
The campaign is not limited to offline activities. In other regions of Ukraine, it is already present on official municipal websites, regional military administration pages, and across social media.
The main message of the campaign:
Energy efficiency is an investment in your future.
It doesn’t require major effort but brings long-term benefits and comfort.
Become part of a country moving toward a green European community!
