Hanna Zamazieieva: “In October, the Commission of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency approved the feasibility of providing state support for nine projects across different regions of Ukraine.”
These initiatives will receive funding from JSC “Ukrainian Decarbonisation Fund”, enabling the implementation of modern solutions in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.
Among them are the installation of a cogeneration unit, 12 solar power plants with energy storage systems, heat pumps, an electric vehicle charging station, and two building energy modernization projects.
Results in numbers:
The implementation of these nine projects will ensure an annual reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by more than 4,288 tons of CO₂.
Key Project Highlights:
Ternopil. Restoration of the company’s production facilities damaged by a missile strike in June 2025. The project includes the installation of 0.28 MW heat pumps, a 0.28 MW solar power plant with a 1 MWh energy storage system, and an EV charging station. The façades will also be insulated, and windows replaced.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 105.6 tons.
Zhytomyr. Installation of an RSE 4500 cogeneration unit for a company specializing in freezing berries, fruits, and vegetables. Uninterrupted power supply is critical for its operations. The generated electricity and heat will also be supplied to the grid.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 1,850 tons.
Kyiv region. Installation of five solar power systems with a total capacity of 0.147 MW and 0.061 MW of energy storage for a network of fueling stations, car washes, and oil depots.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 48.9 tons.
Dnipro. Installation of a 1.2 MW solar power plant with a 5 MWh energy storage system for a meat processing plant. This will ensure stable operation, extend product shelf life during power outages, and reduce electricity costs and production expenses.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 381.1 tons.
Mykolaiv region. Installation of a 0.05 MW solar power plant with a 0.07 MWh energy storage system on the roof of a manufacturing facility.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 12.16 tons.
Zaporizhzhia. Installation of 0.85 MW solar modules with a 1 MWh energy storage unit. Surplus electricity will be supplied to the city’s general grid to power drainage pumping systems, social infrastructure, and industrial and public facilities.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 339.36 tons.
Ivano-Frankivsk region. Energy modernization of a production and office facility: installation of a 0.252 MW solar power plant with an energy storage system and roof insulation covering 2,109.2 m².
Annual CO₂ reduction: 96.6 tons.
Zakarpattia. Construction of a 3.8 MW solar power plant with a 6.9 MWh energy storage system. The generated electricity will be supplied to the national grid to support the stability of Ukraine’s energy system.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 1,437 tons.
Lutsk. The first condominium association project funded by the Decarbonisation Fund: façade insulation, roof waterproofing and thermal insulation, and replacement of exterior doors in common areas.
Annual CO₂ reduction: 17 tons.
Each implemented project contributes to reducing CO₂ emissions and enhancing the resilience of regional energy systems. This brings Ukraine closer to achieving its national climate goals and strengthening energy security.
