Lecture 17. Waste heat recovery and integration with renewables

Within the UKRENERGY project, an online lecture by Prof. Mariusz Filipowicz from the Faculty of Fuel and Energy, AGH University of Krakow (Poland) was held on November 19th, 2025, titled Waste heat recovery and integration with renewables.

The lecture was focused on modern technologies for utilizing low-potential heat from industrial processes and buildings and  integration of recovery systems with heat pumps, solar collectors and biomass. It was provided  real European cases of reducing the carbon footprint of buildings by 30–50% and  tools for designing and economic justification of such solutions.
