Nearly 3 Million Ukrainians Learned How Energy Efficiency Helps Save Money!
From May to July, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency, in partnership with the Danish Energy Agency and the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine, successfully carried out a large-scale information campaign “Keep This Money for Yourself.” The campaign debunked the myth that energy efficiency is complicated and expensive. On the contrary, it showed that these are simple steps that improve quality of life, help reduce utility costs, and preserve resources.
Special attention was given to the city of Mykolaiv, where the offline campaign launched on May 1. Informational posters were placed in popular public locations — at Administrative Service Centers (ASCs), on city transport, in municipal enterprises, and at other frequented spots.
Experts estimate that every resident of Mykolaiv saw at least one campaign material.
Our national-level partners in implementing the campaign included the Mykolaiv City Council, Ukrzaliznytsia, Kyiv Metro, Kharkiv Metro, ASCs, local media, and other organizations.
Key campaign results:
National reach — over 3,000,000 people
Engagement of more than 1,800 representatives of communities and local authorities
1,000+ online mentions, 2,100+ video publications
Broadcast of video materials in Kyiv and Kharkiv metros, as well as on Ukrzaliznytsia trains and stations
We are grateful to the Kingdom of Denmark and the Danish Energy Agency for their support, expertise, and active involvement in creating this campaign, which is based on Denmark’s best practices.
