The Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine, Joint Stock Company, implemented another large-scale energy resilience project in Dnipro
The Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine has supported another step towards regional energy independence — a modern hybrid power supply system and a rooftop solar power plant with a capacity of 1.5 MW are being implemented in the city of Dnipro.
The total cost of the project exceeds 34 million UAH, of which 25 million UAH has already been financed by the Fund.
The complex where the project is being implemented is one of the largest office and logistics centers in the city, with a total area of over 30,000 m². The installed solar power plant will operate as the primary power source for the facility.
In case of insufficient energy production, the system automatically switches to the city grid — the entire process is fully autonomous and does not require manual intervention.
«This is another example of how the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine contributes to increasing the energy independence of regions. At the same time, we are implementing a modern energy model that already today brings real benefits to over 150 tenant enterprises, city residents, and visitors of the complex,» emphasized the Head of the State Energy Efficiency Agency, Hanna Zamazieieva.
The project implementation will allow:
a reduction in the consumption of traditional energy sources by 1,378 MWh annually;
a decrease in CO₂ emissions by 578.7 tons per year;
an increase in the energy efficiency of the complex by nearly 70%.
Thanks to the project, uninterrupted power supply will be ensured for critical infrastructure facilities, as well as for companies specializing in the storage, delivery, and logistics of essential goods — from drinking water and food to household products delivered throughout the region and beyond.
For the city, this means reducing the load on the energy system and increasing the reliability of power supply. For businesses, it means stable operation even during peak loads.
