The fourth seminar in a series of eight planned events aimed at developing the network of Offices was held on the topic: “Communication Campaigns to Promote Energy Efficiency”

04 February 2026

During the opening part of the event, Deputy Head of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency Viktor Bilko noted that the topic of communication campaigns to strengthen energy resilience is extremely relevant.

“Even the best technical solutions cannot work effectively without quality communication. If such solutions remain unclear or inaccessible to the general public, their potential will not be realized. Only by explaining the goals, advantages, and practical benefits of energy efficiency and decarbonization measures can real results be achieved for both institutions and citizens,” the Deputy Head of the Agency emphasized.

Viktor Bilko also highlighted the key role of Regional Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Offices in shaping a culture of rational energy use at regional and local levels.

Last year, the State Agency on Energy Efficiency, together with the Danish Energy Agency, conducted the nationwide information campaign “Keep This Money for Yourself,” focused on simple and accessible energy-efficiency measures.

In February 2026, a new joint campaign — “Keep This Energy for Yourself” — was launched. In the context of ongoing shelling and risks of prolonged electricity and heating outages, it focuses on basic yet effective energy-efficiency solutions. The campaign aims to remind people that even with minimal resource availability, everyone can conserve energy, strengthen their personal energy resilience, and reduce household losses. As part of the seminar, participants also shared their experience and best practices, including Viktoriia Yavorovenko, Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Office; Sviatoslav Pavliuk, Executive Director of the Association “Energy Efficient Cities of Ukraine” (EECU); and Serhii Kosharuk, Head of Projects and Programs at EECU.

The event featured presentations by Ukrainian and Danish experts, which formed the basis for professional discussion and exchange of practical experience. We thank all speakers and participants for their active engagement, insightful presentations, and meaningful discussions.
