The Government has increased funding for the program to provide children with disabilities of subgroup A with portable charging stations
Systematic support for families with children who critically depend on a stable power supply is ongoing. Yesterday, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted a decision that allows the continuation of the program to provide portable charging stations to families raising children with disabilities of subgroup A.
This concerns children whose vital functions directly depend on electricity. During power outages, they face a real threat to their health and lives. Therefore, such decisions are not just social support, but a vital necessity.
Previously, under the program, funds from the Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Transformation Fund were used to finance the purchase and delivery of 10,000 portable charging stations with an approximate capacity of 2 kWh.
Yesterday, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to increase to 30% the share of the Fund’s budget that will be allocated to the purchase and delivery of an additional 2,000 such devices. This will make it possible to assist a greater number of children.
The equipment is being procured by the Decarbonization Fund of Ukraine, and delivery is carried out by Ukrposhta. Immediately after the stations are purchased and delivered to Ukraine, they will be distributed to families in accordance with the lists provided to the Fund by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
It should be noted that applications for receiving a portable charging station can be submitted until April 1, 2026, through the territorial offices of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
We are grateful to the Government of Ukraine for supporting and implementing initiatives that help ensure that as many children as possible are not left without essential support.
