The State Agency for Energy Efficiency and the Decarbonization and Energy Efficiency Offices of Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions are partners of the new multi-complex project “Solar Watch of Communities”!

The nationwide project "Solar Watch of Communities" is a public-government initiative that unites authorities, local communities, educational institutions, businesses, and veterans around a common goal — supporting sustainable energy supply in communities through the integration of renewable energy sources. The main organizers of the project are the NGO "Business for Partnership" in cooperation with the Association of Ukrainian Cities.
Key areas of the "#SolarWatchOfCommunities" project include:
Creating a pool of energy-independent communities showcasing effective transitions to renewable energy;
Building competencies of local self-governments in the field of sustainable energy consumption;
Engaging veterans in implementing "green" projects through professional retraining and adaptation programs;
Supporting the development of small businesses in the renewable energy sector;
Modernizing educational programs in vocational and technical institutions to meet market demands;
Consolidating the efforts of communities, education, and business to implement local “green” energy projects and renewable energy jobs.
The project structure includes three main clusters:
STUDY SPACE: SOLAR FUTURE — educational workshops for community representatives and teachers;
SOLAR COMMUNITY — a competition for the installation of solar power plants in local communities;
SOLAR RESERVE — training courses for the retraining of veterans to work in the "green" energy sector.
