The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine and the Ukraine Decarbonization Fund Continue Supporting Ukrainian Businesses
The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, together with JSC "Ukraine Decarbonization Fund", continues to support Ukrainian businesses in improving energy efficiency, developing their own power generation capacity, and adopting modern low-carbon technologies.
Last month, Ukrainian companies received UAH 207.4 million in state-backed financing through JSC "Ukraine Decarbonization Fund".
The funding was provided to five companies to implement renewable energy and cogeneration projects in the Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions, including the city of Kyiv. The projects include the construction of four solar power plants and the installation of the first-phase facilities of a cogeneration unit.
These investments not only strengthen the energy resilience of enterprises but also reduce their dependence on external energy supplies, enhance business competitiveness, and promote the development of distributed energy generation across Ukraine's regions.
Once commissioned, the new facilities are expected to generate more than 17,000 MWh of clean electricity annually while reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 8,000 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
Supporting such projects is an important component of Ukraine's state policy on energy efficiency and decarbonization. The State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine remains committed to ensuring that Ukrainian businesses have access to financial instruments that facilitate industrial modernization, the deployment of energy-efficient solutions, and the development of their own energy generation capacity.
Together, we are building a more energy-independent, competitive, and environmentally sustainable economy for Ukraine.
